EastEnders star Rita Simons has hinted that Roxy Mitchell will soon turn a corner following her recent "nasty" behaviour.
The actress confessed that she is surprised by the way her character has conducted herself since taking over the Queen Vic and inheriting her late father Archie's fortune.
Simons told This Morning: "I can only hope and put it down to grief and the money going to her head, because I can't myself gauge why this fun time girl has gone from that to being so nasty."
The 33-year-old said that she prefers light-hearted scenes because it is "such fun to play all that stuff".
Discussing what the future may hold, she added: "I think soon we're going to see a return to good old, good time girl Roxy."
Simons has been a cast member on the Walford soap since 2007.
