Actor Shane Richie - who recently returned to Walford as lovable Alfie Moon - is unsure what the future has in store for his alter-ego and his pregnant wife Kat (Jessie Wallace), but is looking forward to the introduction of new family members to Albert Square.
Although Alfie will struggle to come to terms with the fact Kat is pregnant with his cousin Michael Moon's (Steve John Shepherd) baby, Shane believes it will be a struggle for his character to settle down.
He said: "I don't know if he can forgive Michael. But I do know that the aim is to extend the Moon family and make them a prominent presence in Walford.
"I think there'll be new Moons soon."
Kat and Alfie recently returned to the Square from Spain, where Alfie had been imprisoned after being caught selling dodgy timeshares.
During his time inside, Kat fell pregnant with Michael's baby and he begged her to live with him in Spain.
However, the market stall worker decided to stay with Alfie, and the couple now run the Queen Vic pub and are about to renew their wedding vows.
Shane admits he can't wait for his alter-ego to finally settle down and have a normal family life.
He added to Inside Soap magazine: "It'll be great to see them settled after Alfie has spent time on the run."
